Tara Kimbell

About me

I have been an athlete for as long as I can remember. At a young age I was traveling the USA playing in National Tournaments for AAU basketball as well Field Hockey. I was a three sport athlete in high school where I participated in Track and Field, Field Hockey and Basketball. I was honored with All-American status for Field Hockey in High School and then went on to college to play Division 1 Field Hockey on a full athletic scholarship where I was also selected as an All-American Athlete. It is safe to say that athletics is what I love and the lifestyle is something I do not ever see as a distant memory. I currently work for ISI Elite Training which is a Group Functional Training Concept. I hold numerous certifications ranging from TRX Training to ACE Group Fitness and Youth Fitness To Personal Training and most recently HYROX Level 1. I have been working in the Fitness Profession for over 20 years. I am 43 years old, live in North Carolina with my husband and 7 year old son. Prior to working in fitness full time I lived in NYC for 10 years and worked in the fashion industry as a Visual Manager at some of the biggest name brands to name. It was in NYC where I got my first real fitness job as a "trainer" and the rest is history. It was a side job to my fashion career, but I thrived. I knew helping others achieve their goals was a huge purpose of mine. Not only do I personally take the fitness lifestyle serious, but I love the idea of instilling great values and healthy habits with my members. I am honored and excited to be part of the HYROX community and look forward to all of the exciting things the future holds. I look forward to meeting other HYROX enthusiasts, coaches, members of the community and grow together! I will be racing so far in 2025 in DC, Miami and Atlanta. Hope to see you there!!
